I apologize to anyone who signed my guest book & it is no longer
on the site. I've had many webmasters and usually when there's a
change, the guestbook is left to go into cyber abyss, never to be
seen or heard of again. If you would sign it again, I'd appreciate it.
Hopefully we can hang on to it this time.
Thank you,
Billy Don Burns

Billy Don Burns , I've had the pleasure and (the BS) of running with the several characters that make up the man called BILLY DON BURNS. Like most creative people he has his dark side and his mean side and his spiritual side. When I first met BD I met a spiritual side. We were in my kitchen and discussing Jesus, God and the Bible in general. Naturally our darker sides were rebelling and we wrote the first song that we ever wrote together, which is the truth-titled: I'm a Honky Tonk Man for Jesus......Billy is a unique person and a Great talent.I hope if you should meet him that you get to meet his spiritual side......Good Luck if you don't....JUST ANOTHER OUTLAW AT THE CROSS AND YOUR BUDDY, MACK VICKERY.....

Hello Mr Billy Don, It's good to see that you're alive and well living in the USA...Listened to your album again the other night, and still sounds great!! I especially like that one about "Hank Williams Woman", I get the Feelin' I may be a lot like her myself...At least JL agrees!! Where do you man songwriters get the "you know what's" to write songs about us women, and make so much money, and have so much fame ...I just think we need to get a piece of the action!!! And maybe some of the song too!! hahaha. Have fun on the internet, and WELCOME to the New AGES!!! I'm sure you're fans you already have and the ones still finding OUT, will enjoy your new Home here, and find a lot of new and interesting facts about a songwriters world and hear some good to honest songs of the heart and soul!! Stay true.

WHEN I THINK OF THE GREATEST SONGWRITERS
EVER, I THINK OF BILLY. IN MY OPINION HE IS RIGHT THERE WITH WLLIE, KRIS, HAGGARD, AND SHAVER. WE DON'T STAY IN TOUCH THESE DAYS, BUT I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT HE IS THE ONLY PERSON IN NASHVILLE TO EVER KEEP THEIR WORD WITH ME. TODAY, I AM SOBER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS AND CLOSER TO SUCCESS THAN EVER, AND NOT A DAY GOES BY THAT I DON'T LISTEN TO BILLY DON OR PICK UP MY GUITAR AND SING SOME OF HIS SONGS. IF YOU'RE IN HIS CIRCLE OF FRIENDS YOU'LL BE THERE TILL THE END. BUT IF HE DON'T LIKE YOU YOU BEST STAY AWAY FROM HIM. YEAH HE RIDES DOWN DIABLO'S HIGHWAY ON A TRAIN CALLED LONESOME. AND HIS LIFE PLAYS OUT LIKE THE WORDS OF AN OLD COUNTRY SONG. AND HE POURS HIS PAIN OUT ONTO PAPER AS FAST AS HE POURS THE WHISKEY DOWN HIS THROAT. HE LOVES JAMES DEAN AND HE'S LIVED OUT EVERY SONG HE'S EVER WROTE

Hi Billy, I am 19, from England and I love your album 'Train Called Lonesome'. It is not out here in England so I had it imported. I am a fan of country music and when searching through the free country downloads on Amazon, I came across 'Lonesome 77203'. I had never heard of you before and instantly loved everything about the song and had to buy the album. I wasn't disapointed, every track is something special. Like you, my hero is also Johnny Cash. It was him who got me into country music. I seen the fax. Amazing! You should be proud! I look forward to hearing more from you in the future.

Billy Don Burns has got to be one of the coolest cats I've ever met. His new album TRAIN CALLED LONESOME is a great album and I'm sure it will be a part of many music fans collection. Thanks for staying true to who you are. Being in the music business is hard and many people can't handle it. You handle it like a real pro. Keep it Country Brother...

Mr. Burns, I just wanted to stop in and say thanks to you, Charlie Booth, Hank Cochran and Mack Vickery. The song called "Patsy", with you, Hank Cochran and Willie singing is the most beautiful song I have heard in a long time. It gave me the shivers. Patsy Cline will always be my favorite female vocalist, and to hear the three of you sing this tribute to her made my day! I heard the song on KOCR Radio, on Charlie Ammerman's Honky Tonk show, and it blew me away! I absolutely love it!

Hello, Billy. Annie Hoffer from WIFE radio in Connersville, Indiana thanks you for the CD you signed for her and she emailed me with her comments which I posted below. Patti; "BDB's Cd is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never listened to a work of such honesty and down right "bold" creativity. From Mississippi to Tired and Troubled Soldiers it was like I was there, right there in those songs. Things I would like to say, but too chicken to say it. Of course I have not traveled that road (at least not some of it) but there is so much truth in the songs and he and his co-writer Mack are right in all the words of Tired and Troubled Soldier. I love the title too for the CD....Heroes, Friends and Other Troubled Souls. He hits us all there! WOW!! Thanks, Patti, for letting me listen to this Cd. Let him know how much I love it and when it comes out, I will buy one for the station, because I am not giving mine up. No way! I know he will have a lot of success with it and I wish him the best of luck with it."

Hi Billy Don
Just received from Martha your new CD Heroes, friends and other troubled souls. I have chosen several songs for my upcoming programs (Country Special ) on radio Beverwijk in the Netherlands. You have managed to combine lyrics and music to perfect songs. When listening to the songs I was remembered by what Neil Diamond once said about my favorite "Outlaw" Waylon Jennings."There is no moog synthesyser which can reproduce the human voice. Because in the human voice ther is the soul of someone. This happened listening to your songs.

Hi Billy Don,
yesterday I received "Heroes" for airplay from Martha & I still have to stop listening to it. That's a true masterpiece, another pure gem from the of the last great outlaws. I think it'll be a favourite in my radio show of American roots music here in Italy, that's for sure!

Hi Billy! It was so good to meet you and thanks so much for being there to add your voice to She Rides. (Now, can you just keep buggin' John Scott for the mix?) ;-) Thanks for playing a bunch of songs in Arkansas, too, and for being the most awesome artist and writer I ever met. I did my best not to act like a crazed fan this past week, but it sure wasn't easy when you turned out to be even nicer then I could ever imagine, but thanks for patiently signing my guitar and 4 CDs. Your new CD is amazing and I am sure you will be celebrating its success in 2005.

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out.
It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being.
We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.<<

HeyBilly Don,
Just left John Neighbors, up at the Hospital, here in Mtn.Home, where he's doing valet parking. I go up and pick with him a coupla times a week. This morning, he asked what I'm going to sing. So, I started on "Good Woman Blues". He stopped me, and got to telling war stories, about you and him. He is quite a guy, and I would like to meet you someday.

Love
by Pastel Cowgirl
Such a simple four letter word!
Yet so complicated in its meaning.
It can be all encompassing,
Just on the verge of reality.
It can build up,
And bring new meaning to life.
It can take away the very breath we breath.
Love can give birth to other words, Hope, Trust, Belief.
In the wrong hands,
It can alter their very effect, Trample them down.
Love can destroy.
It seems to me
That love is the clay,
And we the potters

Hiya, Billy. Hope you're having fun in California and thanks again for all yout help and encouragement and for being there in the studio: Everytime I think about that nightI hear ... "I was there...I was there...When the Magic filled the air, man....I was there....If I had died after singing with Billy, hell, I wouldn't have cared...Cause I was there."
You're awesome!
